Everyone is wrong.....except me!
It seems to me that both sides of the argument are ignoring the facts. The proponents claim that no injustice has been done to white males and that all minorities are helped by affirmative action. The men and women against affirmative action fail to see the good that affirmative action has done in bridging the gap between races and genders. Both sides overlook the viewpoints of the other, and my rogerian argument has lead me to believe that a compromise is in order. Affirmative action has helped a lot of minorities, it has also committed injustices against white men, and it cannot be kept nor abolished immediately. There needs to be a plan that focuses on advancing minorities in ways that do not negatively effect white people or lower standards. At this point I have no clue as to what this answer may be.
